Congratulations!
I want to congratulate Jeff Sluman for winning the Senior Champions Tour event last week. I was excited to see him wearing his Xstatic Band holding up the trophy.

George Clooney
on Ellen DeGeneres
ER actor Noah Wylie helped Ellen DeGeneres get what Victoria’s Secret models, Miss America, Dolly Parton, Chippendales dancers and Kate Hudson had failed to accomplish — get George Clooney.
And, all it took was a couple of baseball Greats to make Ellen’s newfound slogan, “George is Mine in ‘09,” a reality.
Ellen has been on the hunt to land George as a guest on her talk show for months, so the talk show host enlisted the help of former Cincinnati Reds players Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan in order to get the actor (who is a big baseball fan) on her show – along with a few other sneaky tactics.
Ellen called Johnny to see if he and Joe could appear on the show, and a few short days later Johnny and Joe found themselves throwing a ball to each other right outside George Clooney's window.
On Sunday, May 15 2008, Johnny Bench traveled to Oklahoma City to kick off fundraising plans for the Johnny Bench Baseball Museum scheduled to be built in Binger, Oklahoma; Johnny’s hometown. The museum will be an impressive 5,500-square foot structure filled with items from Johnny’s personal memorabilia collection and will be shaped like the number 5, his jersey number with the Cincinnati Reds.
Johnny has recently joined with Harbrew Imports Ltd. to produce a 5 Year Old Blended Scotch Whiskey, aptly named Bench 5. The Scotch unveiling will take place April 3rd, 4th and 5th in Las Vegas. For more information on this exciting new product please visit www.harbrew.com
